Palaruvi waterfalls (kollam)

Grace of Palaruvi
This waterfall is at the border of Kerala and Tamilnadu. The view of this fall with a background of thick forests is spectacular. As the water flows down from the forests is said to be medicated and is said to be a preventive for many diseases.
The source of its name is Malayalam, regional language of Kerala. “palu“ which means ”Milk” and “aruvi” which means “stream” together makes “Palaruvi” , i.e “milkstream” which brings out it significance in terms of grace as well as purity.

Aranmula(Pathanamthitta)

This place is known for the famous snake boat race which is held on the last day of onam festival. Tourists are attracted towards this place to get basic knowledge on the culture of Kerala due to the presence of traditional institutions for Kathakali, classical dances, classical music and Kalaripayattu.
The handmade mirror “Aranmula kannadi“, the unique handicraft of Aranmula is well known.
