Kerala, southernmost state of India is well known for eco tourism. it is titled as “god’s own country” by tourists due to its vast biodiversity and great natural beauty. Its eco system, wildlife sanctuaries and national parks, back waters, hill stations, mountains, forests,ets has turned eco tourism into a vast developing sector of tourism in India.This small piece of land is surrounded by arabian sea on the west , western ghats in the east.
Formed in 1956, kerala is the smallest states in republic of India with 14 districts. It has the highest literacy rate among Indian states. It is at the southern tip of indian peninsula.
There is a legend behind this piece of land that it was raised from the depth of ocean by Parashurama, Brahmin avatar of Lord Vishnu. It’s culturally rich coutry and thus a best known tour destination in world tourism map
