Starting our journey at 8.00 a.m. after a good Kashmiri Breakfast made inside the house boat by you and our Kashmiri assistant, we will first go to Shankaracharya hill. Sankaracharya hill, also known as Takht-e-Suleiman means the Throne of Suleiman, offers a glorious sight to Srinagar and Dal Lake. It is the birth place of Shankaracharya temple which is believed to be built by Raja Gopadatya in 371 B.C. According to the cultural belief, the distinguished philosopher Shankaracharya lived there while he got revived, and thus the hill and the temple got renamed according to him. The Mandir is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and is supposed to be the oldest shrine in the whole Kashmir Valley. This temple has some architectural values along with its religious merit. The temple is placed and supported by an Octagonal platform, and there were some Persian inscriptions on the steps to enter the Temple, which is almost got removed now. All tourists can trek the 7 km distance to Shankaracharaya Temple from Dal Lake. After having lunch with the monks of the temple, we will go to Sheshnag Lake. This greenish blue lake in the centre of seven mountain peaks is covered with ice for the whole winter season. The spectacular view of this Sheshnag Mountain, which is named after its seven peaks, is mind blowing and there is a chance for all the tourists to take an ice bath in the lake. Sheshnag Lake has stories of love, romance and revenge, which is inherited through the ages of Kings and Queens. After refreshing ourselves in the beauty of this mountain and the icy lake, we will camp near the lake for the night, where we have arranged some Kashmiri cultural performances.

Early in the morning, at about 8.00 am. we will start our journey to Pahalgam, which is famous in the name “The Valley Of Shepherds”. It is a place 2400 meters above the sea level, and in the past it was used to be the preserve of nomadic shepherds. Still now its rugged charm remains untouched and it is the best example for an eco- tourism site. We are really careful to keep the place always the same without having any marks of the tourism left behind. This village is situated in the banks of the river Lidder, which is a good fishing point for even the first time fishers. Pahalgam serves best s a place for relaxation as it is always calm and quiet and the chilly wind is refreshing. During the summer, Pahalgam is rich with pine, deodar, juniper and fir trees. These plenty of trees makes the wind rich with oxygen and make us active. In Pahalgam, you will feel the comfort as if you are in the lap of nature. After having lunch from a kashmiri house, which we specially arranged for our tourists, we will move to Ladakh. Ladakh is the beauty of altitude, which is bounded by the two world’s biggest mountains: the Himalayas and the Karakoram. The people of Ladakh are a mixture of Muslims and Budhism. It is a land of rock carvings and ruins of large monuments. There is a chance for you to enjoy the Ladakh taste of food, which is very similar to Tibetan food. The most important Ladakh foods are thupka, the nuudle soup and tsampa, roasted barley flour. We will go to a traditional Ladakh hotel and enjoy the Ladekh food. After that you have time to have some shopping in Ladekh. The Ladekh clothes and handicrafts are unique and you would never see it anywhere else. For night stay we will go to Vinayak Dharamshala in Ladekh where you can settle for a night with some monks and the local people of Ladakh.

Today we are going to explore some religious places and relax ourselves in a spiritual atmosphere. Starting our journey at 8.00 a.m. after a good Kashmiri Breakfast made inside the House Boat by you and our Kashmiri assistant, we will first go to Shankaracharya hill. Shankaracharya hill, also known as Takht-e-Suleiman means the Throne of Suleiman, offers a glorious sight to Srinagar and Dal Lake. It is the birth palce of Shankaracharya Temple which is believed to be built by Raja Gopadatya in 371 B.C. The Temple is placed and supported by an Octagonal Platform, and there were some Persian inscriptions on the steps to enter the Temple, which is almost removed now. All the tourists can trek the 7 Km distance to Shankaracharya Temple from Dal Lake. After having lunch with the monks of the Temple, we will go to the Sheshnag LAke. This Greenish Blue Lake in the middle of the seven Mountain peaks is covered with ice for the whole winterseason. This spectacular view of this Sheshnag Mountain, which is named after it’s seven peaks, is mind blowing and there is a chance for all the tourists to take an ice bath in the lake. Sheshnag lake has stories of love, romance and revenge, which is inherited through the ages of Kings and Queens. After refreshing ourselves in the beauty of this Mountain and the icy lake, we will camp near the lake for the night, where we have arranged some Kashmiri Cultural Performances.

With its flowerbeds, trees and fountains, it awakens the emotions out of us and makes us feel like a paradise.
